** Shamanic lifestyle **
Shamanism is about strengthening your connection to nature and the natural cycles of life. It’s a broad concept rooted in diverse cultures, emphasizing harmony with nature and understanding your role within the ecosystem.
Shamanic Nature Retreat creates a nurturing space for you to reconnect to yourself, nature, and indigenous wisdom. This all invites you for deeper reflection.
While rituals are often associated with shamanic traditions, they are not part of this retreat. We go beyond that, and help you to learn and take away practical knowledge.
We will explore the philosophical, cultural and historical roots of shamanism and tangible practices that can enrich your everyday life.
** Instructors **
Jungle Svonni – Shaman, Shamanic lifestyle lecturer
Roosa Okano – Meditation guide, present-moment practices
Krisztina Jónás – Yoga teacher, focusing on body-mind-spirit connection
Anu Tiinonen – Traditional sauna and herbal treatments
Diinu Bouras Ohvo – Shamanic food therapy
** Location **
The Shamanic Nature Retreat takes place in Northern Norway, in the authentic village of Austertana, located 40 km(as the raven flies) north of Nuorgam. Here, the Arctic Ocean meets mountains and the breathtaking nature of the Tana (Deatnu, Teno) valley. This unique location provides an environment for exploring your inner nature, as well as Arctic nature and indigenous shamanic well-being practices.
The venue is Austertana Krystallen, a retreat center rooted in shamanic and Sámi traditions. This peaceful setting is ideal for self-discovery and spiritual exploration.
Austertana’s raw Arctic beauty comes alive under the midnight sun in July, with blooming nature and endless daylight. The gentle mountains offer hiking trails leading to breathtaking views, perfect for moments of reflection and wonder.
